Men Found Guilty Of Singh Murder
After a six-week trial, two men have been found guilty of murdering a shopkeeper during a robbery at his village store in West Yorkshire.
In February, Gurmail Singh was repeatedly hit over the head with bottles of wine from the shelves of Cowcliffe Convenience Store in Cowcliffe, Huddersfield.
Muawaz Khalid, 20, and Nabeel Shafi, 18, both from Huddersfield, were convicted at Bradford Crown Court.
Three other men, Umare Aslam, 20, Shoaib Khan, 18, and Rehman Afzal, 18, were cleared of murder.
Mr Singh was attacked, during the robbery, at approximately 8.30pm on 20 February after he refused to "meekly hand over his property, and his hard-earned money"
He died in hospital the following day.

A former sandwich delivery driver has been jailed for life, for the rape, murder, false imprisonment and kidnap of 17-year-old Hannah Foster. Maninder Pal Singh Kohli, a 41-year-old father of two, was found guilty yesterday at Wincester Crown Court, and ordered to spend at least 24 years in prison for the brutal crimes.

Eight men charged with terror offences
Eight men have been charged with terrorism-related offences, the BBC has reported today. All eight are expected to appear before Bow Street Magistrates Court tomorrow and will face charges including conspiracy to commit murder. A ninth man who was also being held has been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon.

Three Charged With Murder
Two men and a teenage boy have been charged with murder. The Met Police said the accused are aged 14, 18, and 20. The victim was 21-year-old Haile Langa, who died on Thursday, 5 November, from a stab wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead shortly after 3pm on Thursday after police had been called to an incident in Watling Gardens.

Curry Poison Murderer Jailed
A woman has been jailed for life after being convicted of poisoning her former lover and his fiancé in January 2009. Lakhvinder Cheema, 39, died and his fiancé Gurjeet Choough was seriously ill in hospital as a result of eating the poison, which had been added to a curry.

An 18-year-old has been convicted of raping an 11-year-old girl in north London in November last year. Opemipo Jaji, of Edmonton, had denied dragging the girl into Jubilee Park, Enfield, but the Old Bailey heard the girl was raped repeatedly over three hours and traces of her blood were found on his bag and trainers.
