Severe Weather Conditions Hit The UK
Storms, snow, heavy downpours and strong winds are sweeping across the UK today, as the country braces itself for severe weather conditions.
Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland are bearing the brunt of the bad weather, but the Met Office has warned that no region is likely to escape the wintry conditions.
A number of severe weather warnings have been issued across the country. Scotland is facing gale force winds and heavy rain, with heavy snow in the Highlands, while Wales has also been affected by strong winds and heavy downpours.
Snow is also expected to hit parts of north-east England, while heavy rain has also been forecast for south-west England.
In Northern Ireland this morning, motorists were advised to take care on the roads, following reports of icy conditions, flooding and fallen debris, such as fallen trees and branches, on the roads, following overnight storms.
Unfortunately, the bad weather is set to continue this week, with more storms and heavy winds forecast for Thursday and Friday.
