Four Children Killed In House Fire
Four children have died in a house fire in Derbyshire.
Emergency services were called out to the village of Hulland Ward last night, but were unable to save them.
The children's mother, Rachel Henson, 45, is currently being treated at the Royal Derby Hospital for smoke inhalation. She tried unsuccessfully to get back inside the house to rescue them.
Brothers Tommy, 9, and Rocco, 4, died with their sisters Alisha, 6, and Apollonia, 2.
Around 20-25 firefighters attended the scene. It is said they are keeping an "open mind" as to the cause of the blaze.
It is understood the fire started on the ground floor.
A neighbour said that work had been done on the house's central heating in the past few weeks, which involved metal pipes being put down its chimney.
