British Photographer Killed In Libya
An award-winning British photographer has been killed in Misrata.
It is believed Tim Hetherington, 40, was killed in a rocket-propelled grenade attack while covering the conflict in Libya.
An American photographer, Chris Hondros, 41, was also killed, and two others were injured in the attack.
Both photographers were renowned for their work in the industry.
Mr Hetherington was nominated for an Oscar for co-directing the war documentary Restrepo.
Mr Hondros was awarded the Robert Capa Gold Medal for war photography.

Ian Tomlinson Unlawfully Killed, Finds Jury
An inquest jury has ruled that Ian Tomlinson was unlawfully killed at the G20 protests in London. Mr Tomlinson, 47, died after he was struck by a baton by Pc Simon Harwood on 1 April 2009 during the London protests. The jury determined the officer used "excessive and unreasonable" force on Mr Tomlinson who was not taking part in the protests.

Death toll on British roads rises by 2% in 2003
The number of deaths on Britain's roads rose by 2% between 2002 and 2003, according to the latest figures released from the Office of National Statistics (ONS) today. Statistics found that road deaths were up from 3,431 in 2002 to 3,508 in 2003. However, the total number of people killed or seriously injured fell by 6% to 37,215 people.

Three British soldiers killed in Afghanistan
Three British soldiers have been killed in southern Afghanistan, the Ministry of Defence has confirmed. A fourth soldier was seriously injured. The MoD said that the troops were part of the 4,000-strong Nato-led International Security Assistance Force on patrol in the volatile Helmand Province around 0630 GMT when they were attacked.

The Ministry of Defence has named the British airman killed during a rocket attack on a base in Basra last Friday as Sergeant Duane 'Baz' Barwood. The 41-year-old, who was attached to 903 Expeditionary Air Wing, Royal Air Force, was killed during a rocket attack on the Contingency Operating Base.
