Victim Of Fatal Collision In Walthamstow Named
The victim of a fatal collision in Walthamstow has been identified as 26-year-old Trang Hoang.
Police were called to reports of a collision around 10pm on Wednesday 1 June in Markhouse Avenue at the junction with Markhouse Road in east London.
London Ambulance Service (LAS) and the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) were also called to the scene.
Trang was taken by HEMS to the Royal London Hospital where she died on the afternoon of Thursday 2 June.
The driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene.
On Sunday 5 June, officers arrested a 20-year old woman on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. A 21-year old man was also arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. They have both been bailed to return on a date in August pending further enquiries.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police Service's Road Death Investigation Unit based at Chadwell Heath Traffic Garage are investigating.

Man Shot By Police In East London
A man has been arrested in an east London hospital where he is being treated for gunshot wounds. It is understood that the man was shot by armed police at around 8.15pm in the Hale End Road in Walthamstow. Police had responded to reports of a man with a handgun.

A rapist has been sentenced at Inner London Crown Court following his earlier conviction. Rafal Piotr Smucz, 29, of no fixed address was jailed indefinitely and ordered to serve a minimum of six years.
