Fresh Appeal Launched Over Manchester Car Shooting
Greater Manchester Police have relaunched their appeal for witnesses following the fatal shooting of a man as he sat in his car.
Ian Taylor, 44, was shot in the chest as he sat in a red Citroen car in the Baguley area of the city on the night of Monday, June 13.
The gunman was wearing dark clothing and possibly a balaclava.
Detective Superintendent Julian Ross said: "We believe that Ian had been working on the Citroen over the last few days and had been playing his music quite loudly which had attracted attention.
"We know that in the days leading up to his death, and on the day itself, Ian had been talking to a group of girls and then later another group of boys although it is not clear exactly what was said or what happened."
Police are seeking assistance from anyone with information.
A man arrested on suspicion of murder has now been bailed pending further inquiries.
