PSNI Arrest Two Over Croydon Cops Shooting
Northern Ireland's Police Service (PSNI) have arrested two men following the shooting of a police officer in south Croydon earlier this month.
On Wednesday evening the men, aged 20 and 26, were arrested at a house in south Belfast and a number of items were removed from the Lisburn Road house for examination.
Currently, both men are being questioned about the attempted murder with the 26-year-old man being brought to London later for questioning, while the 20-year-old is being held in Northern Ireland.
Last Friday the unarmed policeman was shot on Kingsdown Avenue while chasing three men.
The male PC is believed to have been chasing the men at around 10pm on July 15 when one of them opened fire and shot him in the arm.
Met Police officers then travelled to Northern Ireland this week to take custody of the 26-year-old man, who is now being taken to London for questioning about the attempted murder of the officer.
Two other men have already been charged in connection with the shooting.
Adewale Ogunsanya, aged 22, of Leigham Court Road, Streatham, south London, and Demar Provan, aged 21, of no fixed address, appeared at Croydon Magistrates' Court on July 18 charged with possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life and possessing ammunition.
They are due at Croydon Crown Court on September 23.

Death Of 17-Year-Old Treated As Murder
An investigation has been launched into the death of a 17-year-old boy in Brockley, south London. Nassem Galleze died after a lump of concrete was thrown at a car he was travelling in. Police said his death is being treated as murder. Police were called at 15:12hrs on Saturday, 26 September to reports of a fight on St Norbert Road, SE4.

Police Name Bus Stop Shooting Victim
Police have named the man who was shot dead at a south London bus stop at the weekend as Daniel Famakinwa. The 20-year-old, from Manor Park, east London, was found at the bus stop at Waylett Place, West Norwood around 4:15am on Saturday. He had suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and was taken to hospital, where he later died.

Man Arrested Over Drive-By Death
Police in Croydon have arrested an 18-year-old youth in connection with a fatal drive-by shooting in south London, it has emerged. Twenty-year-old Ricardo Cox, from Croydon, died on Mitcham Road in the area, on 26 November. He had been shot twice in the drive-by shooting last Wednesday at 9.20pm in West Croydon.
