Scottish Road And Rail Network 'Flooded'
Heavy rain has caused disruption to rail services, closed roads and left houses flooded across Scotland.
Glasgow has been badly affected, with commuters at Queen Street station facing long delays this morning.
Train operators have been working throughout the day to restore services, after the severe disruption in both Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Homes have been flooded in Rosyth and KIlmany, while precautionary measures were taken in the Meadows area of Huntly in Aberdeenshire for a second time in a week.
Dumfries and Galloway Police warned drivers to take extra care on the roads, in anticipation of heavy rain.
Tayside Police said that river levels were very high in their region, but said that there were no reports of significant flooding, although they did warn motorists to exercise caution on the roads.
Fife Fire and Rescue Service said that they had six call-outs about flooding since 23:00 on Wednesday.
More rain is being forecast over the next few days and the Met Office warned of a risk of flooding from standing water and from swollen rivers and streams.
Twenty-two flood warnings and 14 flood alerts are in place across Scotland.

90 Passengers Rescued From Flood Train
Ninety people have been rescued from a train in southern England after it became trapped in flood waters. Overnight storms flooded part of the train track near Corsham in Wiltshire, with passengers stuck for around four hours before they could be taken off the train.

Severe Weather Warning Issued For Scotland
Severe weather warnings have been issued in Scotland following heaving rain and gale force winds, with more of the same weather predicted today. The Met Office says that as much as four centimetres of rain could fall across Scotland, while gales of 60mph-70mph are forecast.

A £5million package of measures is being rolled out to help improve services for children and young people with communication problems. A new Communication Champion is also being recruited to raise the profile of these issues, Children's Secretary, Ed Balls and Care Services Minister Phil Hope announced today.

Under restructuring plans announced on Friday, Marks & Spencer is to axe around 1,000 jobs following a review of head office operations and the financial services division. The company said the decision formed a "major part of Marks & Spencer's ongoing plan to accelerate business transformation".
