Men Arrested Following Plymouth Stabbing

Two 32-year-old men have been arrested in Plymouth following a stabbing incident in the city. The incident happened around 8am on Sunday at an address in Houndiscombe Road. Police were called to scene where they found a 46-year-old man who had suffered stab wounds to his neck, shoulder and arm. He was taken to Derriford Hospital where he is in a stable condition. The two men, who are both from Plymouth, were arrested at the scene and remain in police custody.

Body Found In Whitstable Coastguard Search

A body has been found after a search was launched for a man who went missing after a dinghy capsized near Whitstable in Kent. Two men, both in their 40s, had got into trouble when their dinghy capsized near Kentish Flats Windfarm on Sunday evening. One of the men managed to swim two miles to shore at Seasalter and raised the alarm around 3:30am. He has been taken to hospital to be treated for hypothermia. A search was launched, involving Coastguard Rescue teams from Herne Bay, Sheppey and Margate, three RNLI lifeboats from Whitstable and Sheerness and the independent lifeboat Evolution, a Rescue helicopter from RAF Wattisham and Kent Police. A body was recovered from the water around 5am. A post-mortem is expected to take place later.

Witness Appeal Over Fatal North Yorkshire Crash

North Yorkshire Police have appealed for information about a fatal road traffic collision which happened in the Sherburn-in-Elmet area on Friday. The collision happened on the B1222 Bishopdyke Road, between Sherburn-in-Elmet and Cawood, near to the Cumin Lounge Restaurant around 5:45pm. A black Volkswagen Golf, which was travelling from Sherburn to Cawood collided with a black Honda CRV which was travelling in the opposite direction. The driver of the Golf, a 52-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene, while a seven-year-old boy, who was a passenger in the Golf, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition. The three occupants of the CRV were also taken to hospital. One has now been discharged, but the other two, including the driver, remain in hospital, both in stable conditions. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police.

Man Stabbed To Death In Manchester
Greater Manchester Police has confirmed a man has been stabbed to death and another has been injured following an attack in the city. Both men, who are believed to be in their 20s, were found by emergency crews on Parry Road in Longsight, shortly after 00:40am this morning (Thursday).

On 3 May, Kent Police began a search for Michael Wheatley, 55, who had failed to return to HMP Standford Hill after being released on temporary licence.

Teenager Killed In Stabbing Incident
A teenager has been stabbed to death, following reports of a fight in south-east London. It is understood police were called to a disturbance at a block of flats in the Brockley area on Thursday evening. They found two men, both aged 17, with stab wounds. Both were taken to hospital.

Major Police Hunt Launched After Boy Taken From Hospital
A major police hunt has begun after a five-year-old boy with a brain tumour, was taken by his family without consent from Southampton General Hospital. Police said that Ashya King was taken from the hospital by Brett King, 51, and Naghemeh King, 45, on Thursday. It is thought he may have been taken to France.
