Three Men Charged Over Hyde Stabbing
Three men have been charged after a man was stabbed in Hyde. David Knowles, 44, of Hallbottom Street, Newton, Tameside, has been charged with attempted murder and perverting the course of justice. David Worthington, 19, of Lanegate, Gee Cross and John Allen, 33, of Grange Road South, Hyde, have been charged with perverting the course of justice. All three are due to appear before Tameside Magistrates' Court today. The charges relate to an incident around 7:30pm on August 14 when police were called to Talbot Road in Hyde and found a 20-year-old man who had been stabbed in the neck. He was taken to hospital, but has since been discharged. Two other men, aged 22 and 25, have been released on bail until September 19, pending further inquiries.
Appeal Over Missing Polish Farm Worker
Police in Durham have launched a major investigation following the disappearance of a Polish farm worker. Danuta Domagalska, 27, has worked at New Moor Farm, a dairy business near Walworth, on the outskirts of Darlington, for the last three years. She lives at the farm in a cottage, which is part of the estate, with her husband Marcin and her older brother Piotr Lawnicazk, 31. She also has a five-year-old son who lives with her mother in Poland. Danuta failed to report to work for several days running and the owners of the farm went to the cottage, where they found no trace of Danuta, although both her husband and brother were present. Her BMW car was also still parked outside. The farm's owners then contacted police. Danuta has not been seen since August 6. Police are now keen to trace Piotr, whose current whereabouts are now unknown. He is described as 6ft 2ins tall, of slim build, with dark, short hair. When last seen, he was wearing a navy blue jacket with a grey hooded top and grey jeans. Appeal Over Ashington Pub Assault
Northumbria Police have released images of a man they wish to speak to following an assault in an Ashington pub. At 11:30pm on May 29, police were called to a disturbance in New Grand Street. Officers found a 47-year-old man who had suffered injuries to his face, head and back. The man was injured when he intervened and tried to stop an assault that was taking place inside the Grand Hotel pub. The victim was taken to Wansbeck Hospital for treatment. Officers arrested five men on suspicion of affray. They have been bailed pending further information. Officers want to identify and speak to the man in the photo as they believe he may have information regarding the incident. The image can be viewed at: www.northumbria.police.uk. Man Cleared Of Killing Police Officer
A man, accused of killing police officer Keith Blakelock in 1985, has been cleared of the charge. Nicholas Jacobs, 45, had previously denied killing Mr Blakelock. Blakelock was stabbed 43 times at Broadwater Farm, Tottenham, during riots that happened in north London.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

A police officer and two civilian police employees have been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of Thomas Orchard, who died a week after collapsing while in police custody. Mr Orchard (32) was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence on 03 October 2012 and taken to Heavitree Road Police Station in Exeter.

Dale Farm supporters have said residents are "traumatised" by the ongoing eviction of the travelling community from the farm, claiming police brutality and "the illegal destruction of property". The supporters group, Dale Farm Solidarity, said on Wednesday morning they are to seek an emergency injunction to stop the ongoing eviction.
