Appeal Over Indecent Exposure In Midlands
An appeal for help from the public has been announced after a man indecently exposed himself to a teenager in Brownhills. It happened at 7.30pm on Sunday January 29 as the 15-year-old victim was waiting at the bus stop on the A5 opposite the Rising Sun public house island. The offender approached her and exposed himself. The young victim then ran from the bus stop to a friend's address and reported the incident. The man is described as white and in his late 30s to early 40s, just under six feet tall and of medium build, with spiky black hair and stubble. He was wearing a thigh length black fleece coat and blue jeans. Anyone who saw what happened, witnessed the man acting suspiciously or recognises the description is asked to call Walsall Police on 0345 113 5000 or speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Pensioner's Handbag Snatched In Newcastle
Witnesses are being asked to come forward after a pensioner had her handbag snatched in Hebburn. he incident happened at 9.20pm, on Sunday, January 29, on High Lane Row. The 86-year-old victim was approached from behind by the offender who made off with her cream leather handbag containing a quantity of cash and personal items. She was knocked to the ground as a result of the incident but suffered no serious injuries. Enquiries are currently underway to trace the person responsible for the theft. Neighbourhood Inspector Ian King said: "This theft involved a vulnerable member of our community and left her shocked and shaken. "South Tyneside detectives are carrying out enquiries into the incident. "I'd urge any witnesses, as well as any friends or family of the offender, to come forward to assist with the investigation." People can contact police on 101 extension 69191 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Miliband Calls For Change To Bonus Rules
Ed Miliband has called for private banks and financial institutions to be forced to change the way they award bonuses. Responding to the Government's decision to not intervene in the bonus scheme at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), Mr Miliband said rules had to change "across the board", so large payments were made only to top performers. This week, RBS chief executive Stephen Hester turned down almost £1m in bonuses after coming under intense pressure from MPs and the public. Mr Miliband said others should follow.

More Than 350 Councils To Receive New Homes Bonus Payments
Housing Minister, Brandon Lewis, has published the final allocations of New Homes Bonus Payments to over 350 councils in England. The total awarded to councils since the scheme's introduction is£3.4 billion, for delivering more than 700,000 new homes and conversions, and bringing over 100,000 empty homes back into use.

GDP Increases By 0.7%
UK gross domestic product (GDP) in volume terms was estimated to have increased by 0.7% between Q1 2013 and Q2 2013, revised up by 0.1 percentage points from the previously published estimate, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
