Pair Convicted For Robbing Student While Pretending To Help
Two men who robbed a Malaysian student as they pretended to him have been convicted of robbery.
John Kafunda and Reece Donovan approached Ashraf Rossli as he lay injured on August 8, during the London riots, and while pretending to help the student stole items from his backpack.
They stole a portable Song Playstation and games valued at £500.
"I knew they were stealing from me but I could do nothing," said Rossli, "I was sat on the pavement with blood pouring from my mouth."
Kafunda was found guilty of robbery and Donovan of theft. The pair were also found guilty of violent disorder.
The incident was caught on a mobile phone and later posted on YouTube.

Pc Shot 'Pretending To Be A Criminal'
A police officer who was shot dead during a training exercise in Manchester was playing the role of a criminal, it has been revealed. Thirty-two-year old Pc Ian Terry suffered a gunshot wound to the chest after being shot by a colleague during a drill to practise apprehending fleeing armed criminals. The incident occurred at 11.

A 21-year-old man has been found guilty for the murder an Indian student in Salford last Boxing Day. Anuj Bidve was shot in the head while walking early in the morning with a group of friends to the sales in Manchester Kiaran Stapleton denied murder but had admitted manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
