GP Charged With Sexual Assault
GP, Imran Khalid Khan, has been charged with 12 counts of sexual assault, including seven relating to a girl under the age of 13.
The charges relate to five alleged incidents in 2007 in Woolpit, near Bury St Edmunds, and seven last year in Brandon.
The 39-year-old, who is a GP at the Forest Group Practice in Brandon, has been released on police bail and is due to to appear at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates' Court on 10 April.
The General Medical Council has also placed special conditions on Dr Khan; except in life-threatening emergencies, he must not undertake consultations with any female patients without a chaperone present.
Other conditions include not taking part in any out-of-hours work or home visits.

23 Charged With Drug Offences Following Raids
More than 20 people have been charged with drug offences following a number of raids carried out in London, Gravesend, Dover and Deal. A total of 23 people were arrested during twenty raids carried out over three days. The suspects, ranging in age from 17 to 52, have all been charged in connection with the supply of class A drugs.

Abu Qatada To Be Released From Jail
Extremist preacher Abu Qatada is set to be released from Long Lartin prison. Last week the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruled that the cleric, who has been detained in the high security jail for six years, could be released. Abu Qatada, 51, faces terror charges in Jordan but the ECHR has blocked his deportation.
