Three Arrested Over Twitter Rape Victim Naming
Three men have been arrested by police investigating the alleged naming of a rape victim on the Twitter website.
The comments are alleged to have been made following the jailing of Sheffield United and Wales striker Ched Evans on Friday for raping a 19-year-old woman at a hotel near Rhyl, Denbighshire.
North Wales Police confirmed three people have been arrested as part of their investigation into the naming of the victim in the case.
Downing Street ‘Pasty Tax’ Protest
Hundreds of bakers have protested at Downing Street against plans to tax hot takeaway foods such as pasties.
Almost half a million people have signed petitions against the proposals, campaigners said.
The Treasury said VAT was already charged on most hot food and extending it to pies and pasties closes a "loophole".
But bakers say taxing fresh, hot food will be unmanageable, difficult to implement and is unfair on customers.
Woman Jailed Over Victoria Station Murder
A woman who was seen on CCTV kicking a boy in the head after he was fatally stabbed in a Tube station has been jailed for 12 years for the killing.
Sofyen Belamouadden, 15, was stabbed nine times after being chased by a crowd of youths into Victoria Tube station in March 2010.
Victoria Osoteku, 20, of Deptford, south London, was found guilty of manslaughter at the Old Bailey.
