Two 14-Year-Old Boys Charged With Manslaughter
Two 14-year-old boys have been charged with manslaughter following the death of a 41-year-old father-of-two in Leicester.
Ponnuthurai Nimalaraja, known as Nimal, was assaulted at the junction of Gypsy Lane and Northfield Road shortly after 23:00 on 9 June.
Mr Nimalaraja died in hospital on 16 June, one week after being attacked.
The two youths are due to appear before Leicester Youth Court on Friday.
A number of other teenagers were arrested in connection with the incident, including a 12-year-old girl, arrested on Thursday, but since released on bail pending further inquiries, police said.
Another girl, aged 14 and a 15-year-old boy who were re-arrested on Thursday, have also been released on bail.
Two boys, aged 14 and 13, who were on bail in relation to the attack have now been released with no further action.

Ben was attacked during a row with youths in York Way, Holloway, north London in the early hours of Sunday morning. One of Ben's friends said he made a "desperate" phone begging for help as he lay dying on the street.

A 21-year-old man has been charged with murder following the discovery of a man's body in a block of flats in Newquay in Cornwall. Police were called to a flat in Tower Road in the town around 9:40pm on Tuesday night, following reports of a stabbing from an ambulance crew. Officers found the body of a 21-year-old man in the flat.

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of an elderly couple in Kent. Brett Clifton, 21, of Beckett Street, Faversham, is accused of murdering Terry Martin, 72, and his wife Vera, 78, in their home. Mr Clifton appeared before Sittinghourne Magistrates' Court on Monday.

Two Arrested Following Stabbing Incident
Two men have been arrested following an incident where two 17-year-olds were stabbed. The incident happened in Lambton View in the Harehills area on Monday (31 August). The two men, aged 17 and 18, were arrested and later released on police bail pending further enquiries.
