Waterfall Death Man Named
A man who is presumed dead after being swept over a waterfall in Canada has been named as 50-year-old Scottish holidaymaker Andrew Barrie.
The bodies of two local elderly people who were swept away with Mr Barrie have been recovered from the Kettle River in British Columbia.
The accident happened while Mr Barrie was white-water rafting on Saturday.
He was on holiday with his wife and 16-year-old son.
Manufacturing Slump Deepens
Data shows that the manufacturing sector shrank at its fastest rate in more than three years last month.
July saw a PMI of 45.4, which summarises the opinions of purchasing managers in the manufacturing sector.
It means the orders for materials are down significantly and has sparked fears for the recession-hit UK economy as its chances of recovery look yet slimmer again.
UK Anti-Depressant Use Up Nine Per Cent
Almost 50m prescriptions for anti-depressants were handed out by NHS doctors last year.
Experts said the rise of 9% compared with the previous 12 months showed that people were becoming more likely to ask their Gs for help with depression as mental health issues lose their stigma.
