Second Pushchair Child Dies Following Car Crash
A second child has died after a crash in Leicester in which a one-year-old boy in a pushchair was also killed.
Overnight a two-year-old girl died at Leicester Royal Infirmary.
Police said the children were in pushchairs at the junction of Narborough Road and Braunstone Gate when BMW and Mini Cooper collided at about 09:50 am.
Two men pushing the pushchairs suffered minor injuries.
A 40-year-old woman and a 61-year-old man arrested over the crash were later released on police bail.
Images from a CCTV system have been offered to police by Bob Young, from First Alarms on Braunstone Gate.
He said: "It is very shocking because [the pictures] are very graphic and it shows you exactly what happened."
Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward with information.

Six Arrested Over Nottingham Street Brawl Death
Police investigating the death of a 19-year-old man in Nottingham have arrested six people. Joshua Bradley, of Bulwell, died following a suspected street fight in Thurland Street, on 08 February. Two men, aged 21 and 19, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

London bombings ‘suspect’ charged
A man arrested last weekend in connection with the July 7 London bombings has been charged with wasting police time. Imran Patel, 27, from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, was arrested last Saturday, on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of an act of terrorism. The arrest followed a tip-off from the ‘News of the World’.

Major Police Hunt Launched After Boy Taken From Hospital
A major police hunt has begun after a five-year-old boy with a brain tumour, was taken by his family without consent from Southampton General Hospital. Police said that Ashya King was taken from the hospital by Brett King, 51, and Naghemeh King, 45, on Thursday. It is thought he may have been taken to France.
