Arrest Made In Connection To Torture Of 73-Year-Old
A man has been arrested in connection with an attack on a 73-year-old woman, during which she was bound, gagged and tortured.
Francoise Jansen was alone at her home on a private estate in St George's Hill, Weybridge, Surrey, when two masked men forced their way into the property at around 10.50pm last Friday.
The burglars poured boiling water over her arm after she attempted to press a panic alarm installed in her bedroom. She has also said she was gagged, waterboarded and tied to a radiator during the assault.
She escaped after biting through electrical cables used to tie her wrists to a radiator.
Surrey Police said a 31-year-old from Brookwood was arrested in connection with aggravated burglary on Tuesday.
