ONS Show UK Unemployment Falling
The number of people in work has another record high with UK unemployment falling to its lowest level for 18 months.
Figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) show that the jobless total fell by 37,000 between September and November, leaving the total unemployed at 2.49 million.
The number of people in work increased to 29.7m, the ONS said.
In December the number claiming Jobseeker's Allowance fell 12,100 to 1.56 million, the lowest since June 2011.
The ONS figures also show that full time employment rose by 113,000, offsetting a fall in part-time employment of 23,000.
There was a drop in the number of long-term unemployed with those out of work for more than two years down by 10,000 to 434,000, while the number out of work for more than a year dropped by 5,000 to 892,000.
However, there was a slight increase in youth unemployment for the first time since last summer. The number of 16 to 24-year-olds out of work rose by 1,000 to 957,000.

Unemployment rate still falling in UK
The latest government unemployment figures have shown that there is a continuing decline in the number of unemployed people in the UK. While the official unemployment rate at 4.7% is unchanged from the previous quarter, the statistics revealed that the number of unemployed people fell by 15,000 in the last three months.

UK Unemployment Rate Falls
The UK's unemployment rate has fallen to 1.86 million, new official figures have revealed. In the three months to January, the number of those out of work fell by 102,000. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) added that the unemployment rate remains at 5.7%, but the number of people in work increased to a record high in the quarter.

Unemployment Rate Falls To Three Year Low
New figures from the Office for National Statistics have shown that total number of UK unemployed has fallen to 2.47 million, a decrease of 48,000. The unemployment rate now stands at its lowest in over three years, at 7.6%. The figures also show that the number claiming jobseekers allowance now stands at 1.31 million, a fall of some 41,700.

Unemployment Figures Fall Again
UK unemployment fell by 7,000 to 2.59 million in the three months to July, standing at 8.1%, a 0.1% drop on the previous quarter. Official figures also showed that the number out of work for more than a year was 904,000, the highest since 1996.
