'Fisherman's Friends' Shanty Singer Dies
A Cornish shanty singer has died after being injured in an accident at a music venue.
Trevor Grills, singer with the traditional Cornish shanty group Fisherman’s Friends, suffered severe head injuries when he was hit by a falling metal door at G Live in Guildford, Surrey, on Saturday.
54-year-old Mr Grills, from Port Isaac, died of severe head injuries.
Tour manager Paul McMullen, 44, from Disley in Cheshire, also died in the accident.
The incident began when the two men became trapped under a metal door in a loading bay at the venue at about 11:45.
The group, which consists of ten shanty singers, were due to perform that evening.
Police were called to the venue on London Road but later confirmed Mr McMullen had suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.
Mr Grills was taken to St George's Hospital in south London.
Surrey Police confirmed he had died on Monday night.
The Fisherman's Friends are a group of friends who began singing together in and around the pubs in Cornwall.
They were offered a £1m recording contract when they were discovered by a music industry representative.
They have since grown in popularity and have even sung at the Glastonbury Festival.

Six Arrested Over Nottingham Street Brawl Death
Police investigating the death of a 19-year-old man in Nottingham have arrested six people. Joshua Bradley, of Bulwell, died following a suspected street fight in Thurland Street, on 08 February. Two men, aged 21 and 19, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Pilot Who Fell Ill Dies after Passenger Safely Lands Plane
A passenger has been forced to make an emergency landing at Humberside Airport after the plane's pilot became ill. Police have confirmed the pilot later died, however they were unable to confirm the cause of death. His family has been informed. Two flight instructor talked to the passenger as he took control of the plane.

Teenager rescued from sea dies
A 15-year-old boy rescued from the sea off Norfolk has died. A lifeboat crew rescued the boy who had got into difficulties while swimming with another boy off Wells-Next-the-Sea, Norfolk. He was located by the lifeboat and was airlifted to hospital. But he later died shortly after being admitted to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
