Tree Surgeon Treated In Hospital
A tree surgeon is being treated in hospital after falling from a tree in Edinburgh.
The man is reported to be suffering back injuries and a broken leg.
Firefighters were called to Park Road at 15:00 on Tuesday.
The man had been trapped under debris from the falling tree.
He was taken by ambulance to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
Welsh Firefighters Tackle Blazes
Firefighters have been tackling blazes across south and west Wales following the return of sunny weather.
About 125 grass fires are reported to have broken out.
Crews were called out to Morriston, Pontardawe, Swansea and Llanelli on Tuesday between 11:30 and midnight.
Killed Five-Year-Old Boy Named
A five-year-old boy who was killed when he was hit by a car in Birmingham has been named as Cameron Marshall Ward.
The boy was struck by a blue Vauxhall Vectra on Court Lane in Erdington at about 21:10 on Monday.
Police confirmed the boy was with his father on a pushbike when the incident occurred.
Paramedics attempted to resuscitate the child before taking him to hospital. He later died.
Evacuation During Hostel Blaze
A fire at a hostel in Inverness has caused 50 occupants to be evacuated.
Emergency crews were called to the hostel in the Eastgate area of the city at about 05:00.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said all residents had been accounted for.
The fire is now under control.
The people who were evacuated were provided with shelter in the nearby Eastgate Shopping Centre.

Armed Man Shot By Police
A man in his 40's has been shot by police officers following reports that a man was armed and intending to harm himself and others in Knaphill, Woking. Officers from the Surrey Police attended an address in Oak Tree Road just after 10pm last night. He has been taken to St George's Hospital in Tooting where he is being treated.

Mother Finds Child Wandering Streets Outside Nursery
A mother arrived at a nursery to pick up her three-year-old son, only to find him wandering alone in a nearby street. According to Clare Inman from Kippax, east Leeds, her son, Mackenzie, could have been missing from Kippax Ash Tree Primary School for up to 10 minutes. The school has apologised and launched a review of the incident.

Man in court over toddler rape and murder
The uncle of toddler Casey Leigh Mullen has appeared in court charged with her rape and murder. The two-year-old was found dead at her home in Oak Tree Crescent in the Gipton area of Leeds on February 11. A post-mortem revealed that Casey died from compression of the neck.
