May Day declared National 'Bonk' Holiday

In response to the Government's u-turn on plans to jail couples caught having sex in their garden, Mates condoms has launched a 'Safe Outdoor Sex' campaign and declared May Day as the UK's first official 'Bonk' Holiday.

According to the survey carried out by the condom manufacturer, 94% of British people believe sex is a good way to maintain a healthy exciting relationship. The research also shows that two-thirds of people have admitted to having sex in a car, 50% have done it in a field while over 40% have chosen to have sex on the beach.

Commenting on the research, Mates spokesperson Karen Krizanovich said: "We're encouraging people to take full advantage of the good weather forecast and enjoy all that the great outdoors has to offer.

"Sex should be fun but it should also be safe – we're advising people to keep out of sight and use a condom."

The survey, carried out among 1,500 people, also found that 12% of men and 6% of women have made love on public transport, while 4% of couples couldn't wait long enough to resist doing it at the bus stop!
