Jimmy Tarbuck Arrested Over Abuse Allegation
Jimmy Tarbuck, comedian and quiz show host, was arrested on April 26 in connection with an allegation of child sex abuse, North Yorkshire Police confirmed.
The 73-year-old was questioned about the allegation, which dates back to the 1970s, and was later released on bail pending further enquiries.
According to the BBC, the accusation is related to an alleged assault on a young boy, with Tarbuck’s arrest followed information being passed to North Yorkshire Police by office from Operation Yewtree.
However, a police statement stressed that the arrest was “not part of Yewtree, but a separate investigation" by North Yorkshire Police.

North Yorkshire Police Will Not Face Savile Action
The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) has ruled that North Yorkshire Police will not face any action over contact between its officers and Jimmy Savile. The force had been investigated by the IPCC "in light of information received". They have now said that following a review of "all relevant material", there will be no further action.

Man Held In Cumbria Murder Probe
A man is being questioned on suspicion of murder after a woman's body was found in her home in Cumbria at the weekend. The body of 52-year-old Nicola Bisset was found by in her home in Rivington Park in Appleby on Saturday, after North Yorkshire Police received a tip-off. The cause of death is still unknown.

London bombings ‘suspect’ charged
A man arrested last weekend in connection with the July 7 London bombings has been charged with wasting police time. Imran Patel, 27, from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, was arrested last Saturday, on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of an act of terrorism. The arrest followed a tip-off from the ‘News of the World’.
