Depot Fire Destroys 37 Buses
Some 37 buses have been destroyed in a fire overnight at a depot in Summercourt, Cornwall.
It is understood that at least a third of the buses destroyed belonged to the Western Greyhound bus company, and is expected to cause “significant disruption” to services, according to the BBC.
Speaking to BBC Radio Cornwall, Western Greyhound's managing director Mark Howarth said: "A lot of hard work has gone into Western Greyhound and it's awful to see it going up in smoke.
"I could just see flames leaping in the air and when I arrived all the buses at the bottom of the yard were completely ablaze.
The A3058 Newquay to St Austell Road will remain closed for most of the day, police have said.

Deepcut investigation criticised in new report
The Surrey Police investigation into the deaths of recruits at the Deepcut army barracks has been criticised by another police force. Devon and Cornwall Police’s report into the deaths for four recruits at the barracks concluded that Surrey Police narrowed the focus of the inquiry by concentrating too much on suicide as the most likely outcome.

Marine killed by rare superbug
Doctors are being warned to be on the alert for a rare and extremely lethal ‘superbug’, following the death of a Royal Marines recruit from the infection. Eighteen-year-old Richard Campbell-Smith contracted the rare Panton Valentine Leukocidin (PVL), which has been linked to MRSA, last October.

Paddington Memorial 10 Years On
Survivors and bereaved relatives stood together in silence this morning to mark the 10th anniversary of the Paddington rail crash. They gathered at the crash memorial in Ladbroke Grove, west London, alongside Transport Secretary Lord Adonis with leading figures from the rail industry and the emergency services.
