Two Thirds Of Commonwealth Games Tickets Priced Under £25
Ticket prices for the upcoming Commonwealth Games, being held in Glasgow, have been revealed, with two thirds starting at under £25, according to the BBC.
Tickets for the opening ceremony at Celtic Park will start at £40 and the closing ceremony will be priced at £30.
The men’s 100m final will range in price from £15 to £90.
The first batch of tickets will go on sale from 19 August to 16 September, with Ticketmaster handling all online and postal ticket sales.
It has also been revealed the day one of the games will feature 12 sports, including swimming and track cycling.
A ticketing guide, which includes an application form, will be available on 23 July.

People charged for phone calls made to try and secure Commonwealth Games tickets, but only got an engaged tone, are to be given refunds. It was discovered that callers where charged despite not being able to get through, a mistake that organisers of the Games, Glasgow 2014, have apologised for.

London 2012 Paralympic Tickets Set To Go On Sale
Tickets for the London 2012 Paralympic Games go on sale around the world today. In the UK and within the EU, people can apply for tickets online between 9am on 9 September and 6pm on 26 September 2011. Approximately two million tickets will go on sale to the public between now and Games time, with 1.5 million being available in this first phase.

More Olympic tickets will go back on sale after rows of empty seats were visible at the weekend's events. Organisers Locogs said an initial 3,000 tickets - including 600 gymnastics tickets - were "put back into the pot" and sold on the London 2012 website on Sunday night.

A Labour MP has sparked a campaign that could see a cap placed on the resale of tickets to music and sporting events. Labour's Sharon Hodgson has proposed anyone reselling their tickets should be limited to placing only a maximum of 10% onto the original price they paid.
