Police Appeal After Discovery Of Woman And Child's Bodies
Police in south Wales have appealed for information following the discovery of the bodies of a woman and child on Wednesday afternoon in the village of Troedyrhiw, near Merthyr Tydfil.
The bodies were found at around 16:20 on Wednesday after police were called to a house on Church Street in the village.
The deaths of the two have been described as "unexplained".
A forensic examination of the scene is underway and officers are in the community looking for information about the woman and child and the circumstance leading up and surrounding their deaths.
Police are keen to hear from anyone with any information or anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious or unusual in or around the village in recent weeks.
It is understood that the bodies have been identified and next of kin have been informed.
