Andy Murray Wins Wimbledon
Andy Murray has won the Wimbledon men's final, beating number one seed Novak Djokovic.
The 26-year-old Scottish athlete is now being tipped for a knighthood, with David Cameron saying that he "can't think of anyone who deserves one more."
Murray however, was not so sure, saying: "It's a nice thing to have or be offered but I don't know if it merits that."
In a dramatic final Murray converted his fourth championship point to win the game 6-4, 7-5, 6-4. It is his second major title following his Olympic win last summer.
Some 15,000 spectators watched the final on Centre Court, with several thousand more watching on a nearby big screen.
For the win, Murray took prize money of £1.6m. Speculation has begun over whether the Scottish champion will donate his winnings, as he has done following previous tournaments.
