Jail Term Doubled For Stuart Hall
The Court of Appeal has doubled the 15-month sentence handed down to former BBC broadcaster Stuart Hall for a series of indecent assaults.
Hall's original sentence of 15-months was ruled to be "unduly lenient".
The 83-year-old had admitted 14 counts of indecent assault against girls aged 9 to 17, between 1967 and 1985.
Following an appeal by the attorney general, the appeal court ruled that one of his 15 months sentence should run consecutively, doubling his prison term.
