MoD Confirms Death Of Third Army Reservist
The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has confirmed that a third Army reservist has died after taking part in a 40-mile training hike in the Brecon Beacons on July 13.
The three reservists were taking part in SAS selection training exercises on July 13 when temperatures peaked at 29.5C.
Edward Maher (31) and Craig Roberts (24) died after collapsing during the exercise, which was the culmination of a four week training-course.
A statement from the MoD released on Tuesday said: "It is with great sadness that we can confirm that a third Army reserve soldier injured during a training exercise in the Brecon Beacons has died of his injuries."
The man has not yet been named in respect of a request from his family.
The MoD went on to say a full investigation of the circumstances surrounding the men's deaths will be held.

It has emerged today that Colonel Tim Collins, the British Army commander who won international plaudits for his moving pre-battle speech in Iraq, is the subject of a second MoD probe. The second inquiry surrounds the apparent suicide of an 18-year-old private soldier at Drumaad barracks, Co Armagh in Northern Ireland, two years ago.

New Kit And Training Grounds For Army Reservists
Some £40m in new kit will be supplied to 68 army reservist units alongside more overseas training, the Defence Secretary is due to announce. The reserve units will be paired with regular Army units. It is part of long-term plans to cut the size of the Army to 82,000, down from 102,000, while increasing reservists numbers to 30,000.

Army Recruit Found Hanged At Barracks
A 29-year-old man has been found hanged at an Army camp in Surrey, it has emerged. The Army recruit, who has not been named, died just before 8am on Sunday morning, despite attempts by the ambulance service, to resuscitate him. The man was a recruit from Alexander Barracks at Pirbright Army camp, Surrey.

British Soldier Killed In Iraq
A British solider has been killed in Iraq, the Ministry of Defence has confirmed. The MoD said that the soldier died as a result of gunshot wounds sustained during a firefight in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The soldier's family have been informed and have asked for privacy.
