£300,000 For Central London Parking Space

A parking space in Hyde Park Gardens, central London, has been listed for sale at £300,000.

Vendors, Kay and Co have said that the space is open-air, comes with a 91-year lease and has already received "a number of enquiries".

The same company sold two other parking spaces for £250,000 each last year.

Cross-Dressing Look-Out Jailed For 10 Years

A man has been jailed for 10 years for his part in a string of jewellery store robberies.

35-year-old Vasile Bogdan, dressed as a woman to gain access to the jewellery shops, but once inside he would let a gang of robbers in to loot the store, while he acted as look-out.

He pleaded guilty to count of conspiracy to rob.

'No Danger' For Passengers Stuck In Theme Park Ride

Passengers on a theme park ride that stopped due to power failure "were in no danger", the owners of the park have said.

Oakwood said it had not received any complaints from people stuck at the top of the Speed ride after a power cut or surge.

The ride was "entirely safe" and was stopped as a safety measure, a spokesman said.

The incident is believed to have taken 18 to 20 minutes in total to resolve.

Rise In Hospital Parking Fees Criticised
New figures published have shown than more than a quarter of hospital trusts in England increased car parking charges for patients and visitors in the year to last April. While some cut prices, others more than doubled them, according to data from 197 hospitals and mental health trusts.

Hospital Parking Fees Here To Stay
The coalition government has announced that car parking charges for hospitals based in England are set to stay. The previous Labour administration had pushed to scrap parking fees for in-patients and regular out-patients, however the coalition agreed that there were better uses of public money than abolishing the charges.
