Walsall Bus Stop Attack - Man Arrested
West Midlands Police have arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with an assault on a teenage girl at a Walsall bus stop.
The man, from Birmingham, presented himself at a police station early this morning following the release of CCTV images.
He was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and is currently in custody.
The arrest follows the assault of a 14-year-old girl at St Paul’s bus station in the town centre on Saturday 27 July.
Seven-Year-Old Injured In Bradford Collision
Police in Bradford are appealing for witnesses following an incident in which a driver failed to stop after his car collided with a seven-year-old boy.
The incident occurred in Spring Mill Street, West Bowling, close to the junction of Bowbridge Road between 12:30 and 12:40 on the afternoon of Friday 9 August.
The driver failed to stop after the collision and the boy was taken to hospital with a broken leg.
Anyone who might have witnessed the collision is asked to contact PC Mark Claxton at the Western Area Roads Policing Unit on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
Men Arrested Over Merseyside Shooting
Two men, aged 23 and 24, who were arrested in connection with the shooting of two other men in Netherton, Merseyside on Wednesday, 7 August have been bailed.
The incident began at about 18:15 on 7 August when patrol officers noticed two men on Hereford Drive, who detectives wanted to speak to in connection with a recent shooting.
When approached the men ran away. Enquiries led officers to a property on Southwark Grove. The men then surrendered to patrols and were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
The 26-year-old who was shot was sent to hospital. The 25-year-old was discharged.

Man Jailed For Rape Of 13-Year-Old
A man has been jailed for raping a 13-year-old girl in Wigan.
Paul Fenner of Hope Street, Astley had pleaded guilty at an earlier date to one count of rape.
He was sentenced for eight years at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday.
He was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for life and received a lifetime ban prohibiting him from working with children and vulnerable people.
On 18 June 2013 at about 08:00 a 13-year-old girl was walking near to the Merlewood Drive area of Astley.
She was approached from behind by a man who covered her eyes and threatened to kill her if she didn’t do what he said.
He then dragged the girl into an area of nearby wasteland and raped her.
The attacker was identified by several witnesses following an appeal from Greater Manchester Police.

Eight Men Arrested Following Dawn Raids
Over 100 police officers have carried out a series of raids concerning child sexual exploitation offences in Oxford. Eight men were arrested following the raids at 6am this morning 2 June. Police are investigating approximately 60 offences in connection with the operation relating to female victims in Oxford between 1999 and 2007.

Teenager Arrested Over Rape Of 12-Year-Old Girl
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the rape of 12-year-old girl in east London. Three males lead the girl to a "secluded" end of a street in Walthamstow at around 00:15 on Saturday before two of them attacked her, held her down and raped her.

Police investigating the alleged rape of 15-year-old girl in a park in south-west London have made an arrest. It is understood police were called to Grove Park in Carshalton at about 20:30 on Saturday to reports of a rape. Officers investigating the incident have arrested a 26-year-old on suspicion of rape.

Wanted Man Arrested In London
The man wanted in connection with the murder of a 66-year-old man who intervened during a robbery, has been arrested. Ian John McLoughlin, 55, was arrested in London at around 01:00. He was wanted on suspicion of murder and robbery. Airports and ports had been put on alert as police hinted for McLoughlin.
