Jon Venables Released From Prison
Jon Venables, one of the people jailed for the 1993 murder of two-year-old Jamie Bulger, has been released from prison.
Venables, who was released from prison in 2001 after serving eight years for the murder, was recalled to prison in 2010 after it was discovered he was distributing indecent images of children.
Venables and Robert Thompson killed Jamie Bulger in Bootle, Merseyside after luring him away from a shopping centre. They were 10-years-old at the time of the murder. When Venables was released on license in 2001 he was given a new identity, but when he was rearrested in 2010, it was revealed that he had broken conditions of his license by returning to Merseyside and revealing his true identity to friends. It was also discovered that he had downloaded and distributed some 102 images of child abuse.
Now, according to the BBC, the 31-year-old has been released from jail again after being granted parole in July.
