BBC To Cut 75 News Jobs

Seventy five more jobs are to be cut by the BBC in the latest round of its Delivery Quality First cost saving initiative.

The posts will be cut from news across the English regions.

BBC news staff were informed of the job loses today by James Harding, the new BBC director of news and current affairs.

The BBC launched its Delivering Quality First initiative in 2011 in an effort to save £700 million across the corporation and reduce staffing levels by 600 by 2016/17.
