Child Rapist Jailed For Minimum Term Of 15 Years
A 39-year-old serial sex attacker has been jailed for life, with a minimum term of 15 years.
Karl Clay, from Wood End, Coventry, was found guilty in July of 13 charges of raping children and attacking and threatening children and adults over a 16 year period from 1991.
Clay raped two children, attempted to suffocate and drown two women and doused two other adults and a children in petrol and threatened to set them on fire.
Police believe that there are more victims of Clay who have yet to come forward, saying there are periods of his life of which they know very little.

Birmingham Children Service Could Be Handed Off If Improvements Not Made
Ofsted inspectors have warned that should the standard of children services in Birmingham not improve, the service will be handed over to the Department for Education. It is understood that Ofsted will inspect the services again later this month and if improvements are not made the department will take over before Christmas.

Two Charged Over Teenager's Pond Death
Two men have been charged with manslaughter of a 16-year-old boy who downed in a water-filled clay pit in the West Midlands. The body of Shane Owoo was recovered from the pond in Bliston by police divers on Sunday. The two men, aged 20 and 22, will appear before Wolverhampton magistrates on Wednesday morning.

Nasa: No Shuttle Tile Repair Required
Nasa management have decided that no repair will be necessary on the damage to a tile in Endeavour's heat shield. The Mission Management Team decided that Saturday's spacewalk would not include a repair of Shuttle's heat shield after it was concluded that the damage did not pose a safety risk to the crew or Endeavour.

Clegg To Urge Party To 'Stick With The Coalition'
In Nick Clegg’s address to the Liberal Democrat conference later today he is expected to urge his party to stick with the coalition and insist the government is on a path to prosperity. In his end-of-conference-speech, the deputy prime minister will also pledge extra money for 110,000 children struggling with maths and English.
