Supermarkets Remove 'Mental Patient' Halloween Costumes
A "mental patient" fancy dress costume has been pulled from supermarket shelves following widespread criticism.
Asda and Tesco have removed the Halloween costumes from shelves after a number of complaints, including one "stunned" mental health charity.
Asda's "mental patient" costumes included clothing and a mask, fake blood and a fake meat cleaver. Tesco's "psycho ward" outfit consisted of an orange jumpsuit, a mask and a machete.
Both companies offered apologies for selling the costumes, saying that they were removed from stores and online as soon as concerns were raised.
They have also said they will make a donation to charity.
