Lottery Ticket Price Doubles
The price of a National lottery ticket is to be doubled to £2.

Along with the increased ticket price, there will a number of changes to prizes, with some increasing and other being reduced.
There will be an increase in the average jackpot for both weekend, rising to around £5 million, and mid-week draws, rising to £2.5m.
The prize for matching five balls is expected to average £1,000 instead of £1,500, while the average for matching four balls is expected to go up from £60 to £100 and matching three numbers will be now pay out £25, up from £10.
Camelot have said that the price increase will secure more money for charities. Since it began in 1994, Camelot have raised £30bn for "good causes".
