Kevin Pietersen Accepts Libel Damages From Specsavers
England cricketer Kevin Pietersen has accepted undisclosed libel damages over a Specsavers advertisement.
It implied that he may have tampered with his bat.
Specsavers used a photo of Pietersen in their "Should have gone to Specsavers" ads in August.
The firm accepted that Pietersen did not behave in the manner that was suggested.
The cricketer did not attend the hearing at London's Crown Court.
Specsavers have apologised and removed the advert from circulation.
Pietersen tweeted that he is donating the damages to the JCB Trust.

Pietersen, who resigned in controversial circumstances, was given a police escort out of Heathrow airport. He was met by reporters and photographers, however he refused to comment on the situation.

Jefferies Libel Claims Means 'Substantial Damages'
The High Court has ruled that two tabloid newspapers broke the law in their reporting of Jo Yeates' murder. Christopher Jefferies, Ms Yeates' neighbour, was proven innocent after being named as a suspect by The Daily Mirror and the Sun. They were later found in contempt of court.
