Mother Of Baby P Released From Prison
Tracey Connelly, the mother of baby P, has been released from prison, according to press reports.
Connelly, who was jailed in 2009 after admitting "causing or allowing her son's death", is understood to have been recommended for release by the Parole Board.
She was sentenced to a minimum of fives and had served a year on remand.
Peter Connelly, known as Baby P during the trial, died in August 2007. He was found to have suffered more than 50 injuries at the time of his death, despite being on the "at risk" register.
It is understood that a series of social workers, health professionals and police had called at the Connelly's home in Tottenham, north London, 60 times in the eight months up to Peter's death.
He died in August, just one day after Tracey Connelly was told she wouldn't be prosecuted over abuse of the 17-month-old.
The Ministry of Justice refused to confirm whether Connelly had been released, saying it did not comment on individual cases.
