Man Dies Following Police Chase
A man has died after he was struck by a car as he tried to cross the M6 following a police chase.
Lancashire Police are believed to have been pursuing the man from Blackpool, however the pursuit was called off and they were monitoring his car using a police helicopter.
The man pulled over on to the hard-shoulder of the southbound carriageway. He was hit on the northbound carriageway.
An investigation is currently underway and the matter has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

The man who shot himself dead on the M1 motorway following a police chase has been named. Graham Jenkins, 44, from Hereford, is believed to have rowed with his girlfriend before leaving her house and driving off, in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Man Dies After Car Collides With Fallen Tree
Police have confirmed the death of a man whose car collided with a fallen tree on a dual carriageway in Warwickshire. It is understood the man, aged in his 40s, was driving a BMW that collided with a tree that had fallen onto the A46 between Kenilworth and the Stoneleigh Road junction shortly before 05:00. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Man Arrested For 2002 Murder Of Becky Godden
Police investigating the disappearance of Becky Godden on December 2002, have arrested a 51-year-old man on suspicion of murder. Ms Godden was aged 20 when she disappeared in Swindon on 27 December. Her remains were found in 2011 on farmland in Gloucestershire.
