Firefighters To Strike On Christmas Eve And NYE
In an ongoing dispute over pensions, firefighters in England and Wales will strike on Christmas Eve and Yew Year's Eve.
On December 24, Fire Brigade Union members will strike from 7pm until midnight, then again from 6.30pm on New Year's Eve until 12.30am.
A third strike action will also be held on the morning of 3 January.
The dispute is over a government plan to raise the age of retirement for firefighters, a move the union says will put lives at risk.
