19th Person Arrested In Children's Homes Abuse Investigation
A 71-year-old man has been arrested in connection with historical abuse at children's homes in north Wales, bringing the total to 19.
Operation Pallial is investigating claims of child abuse at children's homes in north Wales between 1977 and 1985.
Police have previously said that "significant evidence of systemic and serious sexual and physical abuse" had been uncovered.
The latest arrest is that of a man from Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. He has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assaults against two boys between 1977 and 1985, when they were aged between 13 and 15 years old.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
