Horse Cause Collision On M4 Carriageway
Thames Valley Police have reported that a number of cars collided with a stray horse that ran across the M4 carriageway in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Five vehicles, including a van which overturned, have been involved in what was described as a "serious crash"
The carriageway was closed briefly between Hungerford and Swindon East.
The van driver had to be cut free from the overturned van and is being treated in hospital. No other serious injuries have been reported.
The horse died at the scene.

Second Horse Rider Killed At Equestrian Event
A 30-year-old horse rider has died after falling from his horse during the Nunney International Horse Trials in Somerset on Saturday. The Canadian rider, Jordan McDonald, who was based in Leicesterchire is the second horse rider to die on the same day. His fellow rider Benjamin Winter was killed during Germany's major four-star event at Luhmuhlen.

Two Men Die In M1 Crash
Two men have died following a collision on the M1 motorway in Leicestershire. The crash happened at around 2am on Monday, 12 October. It occurred close to junction 24 of the southbound carriageway and involved a blue Mazda Premacy and a white Ford transit van.

Two people have died and four treated for minor injuries following a six-vehicle collision on the M6 near Coventry, it has been reported today. The accident occurred at around 12.15pm today and involved four lorries, a car and a van.

Man In Critical Condition Following Acid Attack
A man is in a critical condition in hospital after acid was thrown in his face in Cornwall. The attack happened in Carrine Road, Truro, on Tuesday 9 December. He is currently being treated at Treliske Hospital. Police are appealing to speak to the driver of a red Peugeot van seen in Carrine Road around the time of the incident.
