GMP Chief To Face Charge Over Shooting Death
The Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police (GMP), Sir Peter Fahy, is to face a charge in connection with the death of an unarmed man in Cheshire.
A GMP officer shot and killed Anthony Grainger (36) on 03 March 2012 when a car he was in was stopped during an operation.
The Crown Prosecution Service have said that there is sufficient evidence that GMP breached the Health and Safety at Work Act".
An Independent Police Complaints Commission investigation into the death is also underway.

It is understood that the Sir Fahy is being investigated over an allegedly mis-handled probe into a suspected sex offender.

GMP Chief Constable Found Dead
The Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police has been found dead in North Wales. It is understood that Michael Todd was reported missing on Monday night. Rescue teams are reported to have found his body in a beauty spot in North Wales on Tuesday afternoon. His death is not believed to be suspicious.
