Dyson Announce £250m Investment And New Jobs
Engineering firm Dyson has announced a plan to hire 3,000 engineers as part of a £250m expansion.
The expansion would see the company's Wiltshire research centre double in size, creating new science and engineering jobs.
The company's founder, Sir James Dyson, has said that in order for the firm to develop advanced technology, they needed 3,000 additional engineers and scientists.
It is understood that the expansion plans, which are still to be approved, will be displayed at Malmesbury town hall on 3 February.

Parliament Roof Protest Ends
A protest on the roof of Parliament over Heathrow expansion plans has ended. A number of protestors breached security at the Houses of Parliament and climbed on to the roof, next to Big Ben, on Wednesday morning. The activists, who were protesting about expansion plans at Heathrow Airport, unfurled banners, one of which read 'No 3rd Runway'.

200 New Jobs Created By Engineering Firm
Two hundred new jobs are to be created as part of a £2 million investment by engineering firm, Universal Engineering in Rhondda Cynon Taf. The company, which makes components for the off-shore oil and gas, car, defence and aerospace industries, is setting up a centre of excellence in Llantrisant.

Over 300 Jobs At Risk As Engineering Firm Considers Closure
More than three hundred jobs are at risk following the announcement that engineering firm Mabey Bridge is considering closing one of its facilities and selling another. The company announced it has begun a consultation on the proposed closure of part of its business in Station Road, Chepstow, affecting 150 people.

430 Jobs Lost At Rowecord Engineering
Administrators appointed to Wales' largest steel contractor, Rowecord Engineering, has confirmed around 430 people are to lose their jobs. However, it is understood around 80 people will be kept on at Newport-based Rowecord Engineering, the BBC has said. The company said it had "exhausted every option" to try and keep the business operating.

US Expansion For Motherwell Aerospace Firm
MB Aerospace has announced its acquisition of US-based aero-engine component manufacturing business Delta Industries. It is thought to be a multi-million pound deal, but the Motherwell-based firm did not disclose the cost. Delta, which is based in Connecticut, reported annual sales of more than $60m (£39.5m) last year.
