Child Abuse Images Uncovered By House Viewers
Child sex abuse images have been uncovered at the home of a deceased former school teacher.
Police have launched an investigation after potential buyers viewing the home of Christopher Dodson found images of child sex abuse at the address in Chapel Road, Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex.
Det Ch Insp Mark Hall has said that the investigation will aim to establish the full extent of the offences.
Retired teacher Christopher Dodson died in December 2012. His next-of-kin decided to sell his house last August.
Two Die In 'Serious Incident' At M1 Bridge
Two people have died at a bridge on the M1 in Hertfordshire, in what police have described as a "serious incident" but not a road accident.
Emergency services responded to an incident on the northbound carriageway near Junction 5 near Watford at 10:45.
Is it understood that the road is to remain closed "for some time".
No other information has yet been made available.
V&A To Publish List Of 'Degenerate Art'
Records of artworks declared 'degenerate art' by the Nazi's are to be published online by the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Post-impressionist modern art was believed by Hitler to be "evidence of a deranged mind" and he ordered some 16,000 works to be removed from German musuems.
The 'Entartete Kunst' inventory, compiled in 1941-2, was donated to the V&A by the widow of Heinrich Robert (Harry) Fischer in 1996. The term 'Entartete Kunst' translates as 'degenerate art'.

137% Increase In Webpages Removed For Child Abuse Images - Report
The latest report from the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) has revealed a 137% increase in the number of webpages depicting child sexual abuse removed in 2014. According to their annual report, the UK-based charity helped remove 31,266 webpages last year, compared to 13,182 in 2013.

Retired Police Chaplain Charged Over Child Abuse Images
A former police chaplain is due to appear before Cambridge Magistrates' Court charged with making and possessing indecent images of children. 62-year-old Stephen Talbot, of Main Street, Little Downham, was arrested on the day he retired from his chaplaincy at Cambridgeshire police headquarters, in October.

UK Police Establish Child Abuse Images Database
A national database of child sexual abuse images is being created in an effort to help UK police better co-ordinate their investigations. The Child Abuse Image Database (CAID) will store material seized by police during investigations on paedophiles and websites that they use for trading content.

Former leader of Kingston Borough Council, Derek Osbourne, has been sentenced to two years in jail after pleading guilty to 17 charges of possessing and distributing child abuse images. The 59-year-old admitted downloading nearly 2,850 images and 293 videos of child abuse.
