UK Universities Come Out Tops
The Times Higher Education magazine has published a new table about universities reputation which is dominated by the United States, however Cambridge and Oxford ranked in fourth and fifth positions respectively.
The UK Universities are the only two out of the United States which are positioned into the 10 top-ranked in a table based on the academics's votes.
The US has the highest education with eight of the top 10 positions and 46 of the top 100 while the UK has 10 institutions on the list.
Besides Oxford and Cambridge, other UK universities in the list are the Imperial College London (13th), London School of Economics (24th), University College London (25th), King's College London (43rd) or Edinburgh (46th).

A south London man has been jailed for 25 years for tying to shoot a policeman. Michael Mitchell, 32, of Babington Road, Streatham, was convicted of attempting to murder Pc Shaun Callow, possession of a firearm and possession of drugs with intent to supply.

A man has been charged with two counts of sexual assault on public transport in Tower Hamlets earlier this year. Sadikur Rahman, 40, of Shrewsbury Road, Forest Gate, has been charged in connection with two incidents on route 339 buses in Tower Hamlets.

Body Recovered From Hampstead Ponds
Police divers have recovered a body from a pond in a north London park. Police were called to Hampstead Ponds on Hampstead Heath at 17:30 on Wednesday, following reports that a teenager had gotten into difficulty in the water. The Marine Policing Unit used three boats to search the pond, recovering a body just before 23:00.

A 29-year-old female Tube worker has been sacked for having epilepsy, Labour MP Kate Hoey has claimed. The former minister claims that Karen Guyott has been "dismissed due to her epilepsy", around five years after her diagnosis.
