Mechanic Wins £108m On The Euromillions Lottery

Neil Trotter, a mechanic who runs a repair garage in Mitcham, has become the National Lottery's fourth biggest winner with £107.9m.

The 41-year-old, from Coulsdon, south London, scooped the jackpot on Friday.

He is the first winner from the UK this year.

Mr Trotter, who was so confident he would win, told staff at his father's office on Friday lunchtime, "this time is tomorrow", he would be a multi-millonaire.

Mr Trotter said: "I've always thought I'd win big and I'd had a good feeling all week. I took out my ticket to check the winning numbers and amazingly one by one they matched. I told Nicky, my partner, 'I've done it, I've won the lottery'."

Based on the Sunday Times Rich List for 2013, he will become the 745th richest person in the UK, and his fortune outranks pop stars George Michael and Robbie Williams.
