No Make-Up Selfies Get £2m For Cancer Research
The "no make-up selfie" crazy phenomenon has reached over £2m in 48 hours for a Cancer Research campaign.
The campaign is women posting pictures of themselves without make-up.
Thousands of woman have been posting pictures of themselves on Twitter and Facebook without make-up and when they do that, they pledge £3 to the charity by a texting world like "beat" or "help" to a number which automatically deducts the cash from their phone bill.
Carolan Davidge, director of communications at Cancer Research UK, said: "The trend isn't something Cancer Research UK started so it's been fantastic to see so many people getting involved and wanting to use their selfie to raise money for our life-saving research."
Dozens of celebrities also upload their selfies and other cancer charities have also seen increase in donations.
