Michael Nyman Composes Hillsborough Memorial Symphony
The celebrated British composer Michael Nyman has composed an hour-long Hillsborough memorial symphony based on the music he was recording on the afternoon of the tragedy.
According to reports, The Symphony No 11 will be performed at the city Cathedral by the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and will be conducted by Josep Vicent during the opening of 2014's Liverpool Biennial on 5 July.
This will mark 25 years since the FA Cup semi-final tragedy.
Kathryn Rudge, a local-born mezzo soprano, will reportedly sing the names of the 96 Liverpool football fans who lost their lives in the accident.

Six Men Jailed After Whiskey And Chocolate Theft
Six men have been sentenced after lorries carrying whiskey and chocolate were stolen in Kent during April 2013. The thefts occurred in the Dover area. Police said high value whiskey with a retail price of £23,000 was stolen from the trailer of a lorry parked in a haulage yard in Lyndden.

Hundreds of official documents relating to the Hillsborough Disaster are to be made public for the first time, following a 20-year campaign for justice by the victim's families. Medical files and police reports are among the files which could be made public ten years early, after a request was made by Home Secretary Jacqui Smith.
