A trainee solicitor has been jailed for 18 weeks after being found guilty of starving her pet dog to death.
Katy Gammon, 27, left her boxer dog Roxy to starve to death in the kitchen of her home in Bristol, it has been reported. The five-year-old dog was locked in the kitchen of the house with no food or water, while the accused also tied the door to the room shut with rope. The animal was left in the kitchen for 10 weeks. Roxy's body was only discovered after neighbours called police because of the smell and flies coming from the property.
